Scams

• It is important that you remain vigilant as sadly there are some individuals who will take advantage of vulnerable students in the UK.
• You must not fall victim to any scams which involve paying someone large sums of money and them promising you work/settlement in the UK.
• It is advised that you get the appropriate legal advice before you hand over any money.
• It has become common that students are offered a Skilled Worker Visa for payment and soon after, the person becomes uncontactable. Causing you to lose your money and finding yourself in a difficult position.
• The government has also become aware of these scams and cracking down and investigating individuals that do this.
• It must be noted that you are not allowed to switch into a Skilled Worker Visa or Graduate Visa until you have successfully completed your course. Therefore it would be in your best interests to complete your Degree in order for you to look at further visa options you may have.
